This 6-week term of watercolours lead by accomplished artist Peter Wale is suitable for all levels and skills, including beginners. Peter’s method includes a combination of demonstration and personal coaching. He encourages a safe, non-judgemental environment for creativity and the course covers a range of watercolour techniques from wash, brushwork, pen and ink linework and using watercolour pencils.

About the artist:
Peter Wale was born in the UK and for a short time studied at the Royal Tunbridge Wells School of Art, England. He furthered his art education in Australia at the Julian Ashton School of Art, Sydney. In more recent years he has studied with prominent Botanical Illustrators, Barbara Duckworth and Marion Westmacott, who ignited his passion for painting plants and wildlife.
During his 28 years of experience as a professional artist, he has worked with a diverse range of mediums in a variety of styles and subject matter. Commissions have included portraits, animal and bird portraits, landscapes, botanical studies and a variety of illustration pieces for a range of private, local government and commercial patrons.
However, it is as a nature artist and tutor that he is better known, his work having been published in both Australia and internationally.
Peter is in great demand as a workshop tutor. His versatility as an artist helps make his classes dynamic and stimulating to a diverse audience working in a variety of mediums.
